We visited an olive oil processing plant, some mountain villages, a beach town, two monasteries, the Lesithi plateau, ate at a local restaurant, and toured the palace of Knossos. It was all fascinating. Our guide was really personable and fun and knew so much about Greek culture and history (modern and ancient), geography and botany. His communication style was really engaging. This was one of the highlights of our trip, can’t recommend highly enough.”

“Brought Crete to life for us. The guide had a deep knowledge of his homeland’s history and culture, as well as a deep love for it. He said he wanted to make it feel like we were members of his family, and he succeeded. Everywhere we went, friends greeted him, and it was clear he was embedded in the society. He explained everything with warmth and lots of humour. He wasn’t able to guide us around Knossos, but made sure we found another guide who could. I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough.”
